Consultant for the Development of Strategic Plan

HISP Tanzania wishes to recruit a consultant for the development of its strategic plan. The development process is expected to draw insights from the wide array of activities that the company undertakes and the ongoing advancements in information and communication technologies. This work shall involve revisiting the written thinking of shareholders and board members in separate documents and developing a strategic plan from them.

 

Terms of Reference::

The consultant shall undertake the following responsibilities;

  • Take part in the introduction meeting to understand the current business landscape of the company.
  • Produce a high-level structure of the strategic plan and share it with the board members. Board members shall also be able to give comments on this through the board secretary.
  • Drafting a concise strategic plan for the company. This is to be extracted from different sources including:
  • Presentations from area managers in the strategic plan presentations meeting.
  • Available drafts of the strategic plan, developed by board members as they were contemplating the direction of the company
  • The consultant’s experiences with other strategic plans and his/her knowledge of the corporate business landscape
  • Presentations to the board members. This will also be meant to solicit comments from them for further improvements
  • Revising the draft plan following comments from the board members.
 

Qualifications:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication and visibility strategies
  • Having done at least two corporate strategic plans in the past.
  • Experience in assignment with the nature similar to the development of a strategic plan will be an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the corporate affairs.
  • Master’s degree in business or business-related studies and/or in public health or public health-related studies.
